This local bar hosts wonderful live music. Small, but friendly, I like coming here for the music and beer. Bartenders are always friendly and focused on good service. My friends and I are looking forward to next visit there. We have never eaten here.

It is as a neighborhood pub should be in a town like Portland. Nice little stage in a room you could fill up pretty quick with regulars or fans. Divey accoutrements good humans.

I love little places doing their own thing. I have been told they have live music every night. What a gift! Great food, a comfortable place, and someone making music. The band we heard was fun. I recommend the house made sunflower seed (?) burger. I had the salad as a side. Very good and satisfying! The place is small so be prepared to squeeze in. There is a second room with more space.

They make amazing cocktails and it's a great place to hang and watch a show. Plus they have a wicked cool sopranos pinball game. Outdoor seating. Awesome employees. Great music. Pure Portland

I’m so glad to have finally visited this portland institution! In spite of a packed house, I had a lovely pint in my hand within a few minutes of stepping inside thanks to the attentive bartenders. Ran into some neighbors and met a few new friends as we tapped our toes and enjoyed the bluegrass from the skillful mandolin, standup base, and guitar band who is there every other Tuesday. I look forward to checking out more live music at this spot!

The only negative thing to be said about the 'Thirst is that it can get pretty crowded. But, that is just further evidence that this is a wonderful bar. The food, the drinks, the music, and especially the people are what make this unassuming little place the best bar in Portland, hands down.

Friendly and laid back. Especially nice when live music is happening. Really good food as bars go. My wife's taco salad came with tortilla chips instead of the dreaded fried bowl. The sauce on my chicken parmigiana sandwich was a delight.
